Music by Frank Mills (1973)
Early in 1976, Polydor, Frank Mill's music label, leased one of Mill's albums for distribution. For a single they chose two songs that had been showing a lot of airplay. The "A" side would be a lush, romantic ballad called "The Poet And Me," while the "B" side would be "a little funny piano tune" titled "Music Box Dancer." Enter David Watts, rock deejay in Ottawa, and friendly acquaintance of Frank. After previewing the "A" side of the disk, Watts decided it was not for him, nor for his listeners. But for Frank's sake, he flipped the record over and played the "B" side on the air...and became the hit song it is today.
