Varsity Drag

Varsity Drag is a 1927 show song which sparked a dance craze! The show "Good News" was set on a college campus and the Varsity Drag was performed by the football team. Slightly tame by today's standards, but a perfect pastime for the late 1920's when collegians and their theme songs were promoted via society-conscious singers like Rudy Vallee.  The song was also featured in the 1974 movie "That's Entertainment!"
